Research

Research at the Sustainable Power Laboratory is connected to many projects at the department of Electric Power Engineering and the department of Communication Systems.  

These projects often involve PhD students and Postdoctoral researchers performing the experimental work, within larger projects funded by EU, Swedish national funding, industrial sponsors or internal KTH sources. At peak times there can be dozens of researchers working on their projects at SPL, with benches distributed around the many facilities.
Some industrial projects without direct connection to PhD or Postdoc projects also conduct research at SPL, on a contract basis [besides the non-research types of contract testing].
