

The Sustainable Power Laboratory, SPL, is a world-class research center focusing on the technologies needed to decarbonize the energy system. Our research is carried out on all levels, from materials characterization to power system dynamics.

Research
SPL is a research infrastructure where faculty, students and external companies can work efficiently in a collaborative and flexible environment.
Education
Education is an integral part of SPL. We give undergraduate students the opportunity to gain practical experience, while providing valuable teaching experiences for our doctoral students.
Facilities
To accommodate the wide range of topics that electrical engineering entail, SPL manages a large amount of equipment organized in several laboratories. Being under one common organization encourages collaboration and sharing of knowledge.
