Power Electronics Laboratory

In conjunction with the flexible lab power supply platform, the power electronic lab enables investigations into most aspects of power electronic converters.

Topologies, modulation and control can be analyzed. The dynamic performance of power semiconductors can be investigated. Converters have been operated up to several megawatts using in-house test circuits. Double pulse testing of semiconductors up to 10 kV.

Resources

AC and DC power supplies 0-700 V, DC-60 Hz with rated power up to 200 kW. Mixed-signal oscilloscopes, multimeters, current and voltage probes. A rich assortment of passive components and load resistors.
