Educational Power Laboratory

The Educational Power Laboratory facilitates laboratory exercises in the fundamentals of power systems at undergraduate level, and courses dealing with power electronics and machines for master students.

Resources

Seven lab benches with AC/DC machine pairs and access to fixed and variable power supplies. Various power electronic converters (voltage source converter, thyristor converters, DC/DC converters) and their control is available. All necessary instrumentation for student labs, multimeters, oscilloscopes, current and voltage probes etc.

The laboratory can also be used for benchtop tests of small vehicle drivetrains, or thesis projects involving any of the above.
